LAHORE, March 25: A property dealer was found dead at his residence in the Shadbagh area on Tuesday.
The police were informed about the killing of a young man allegedly by his relatives in Bhaggatpura after which the personnel reached the spot and found the body of a man later identified as Gulzar Ahmed, 30. The police later shifted the body for autopsy.
The victim’s family, however, told the police that Gulzar had committed suicide after hanging himself over a property row. The autopsy report, the police said, would ascertain the cause of Gulzar’s death.
Gulzar was a real estate agent and owned a house. The police also recovered a piece of paper from the crime scene indicating that the house was a bone of contention among four brothers. Gulzar, in the letter, had suggested his family not to sale the house and live peacefully.
