MIRPURKHAS, March 25: Three houses were gutted and a buffalo was burnt to death in Lal Bux Rustamani village near Mirwah Gorchani late on Monday night.

Villagers said that the fire broke out in a house due to short circuit, which engulfed the two neighbouring houses in a matter of minutes.

The villagers put off the fire on their own after several hours hectic efforts as no fire tender could reach the village, they said.

The fire reduced to ashes the household items, wheat, gold ornaments, agriculture seed and dowry of three girls.
