NAWABSHAH: Nawabshah bar polls

NAWABSHAH, March 23: Ali Mohammad Dahiri and Ziaul Hassan Lanjar were elected president and general secretary of the Nawabshah District Bar Association here on Saturday.

Other office-bearers elected in the annual election of the DBA included Mushtaq Ahmed Arian, vice- president, Ghulam Shabbir Zardari, joint secretary, Ali Gul Lund, treasurer, and Khadim Hussain Soomro, librarian.

Manzooran Gopang, Nisar Ahmed, Rao Suleman, Ms Ambreen, Abdul Hameed, Israr Qureshi and Rana Mohammad Siddiq were elected members of the managing committee.

The election was held under the supervision of Sindh Bar Council member Abdullah Chandio.

REVENGE: Pakistan People’s Party MPA-elect Ghulam Qadir Chandio has said that the nomination of Yousuf Raza Gilani as prime minister is the first step to the revenge of the assassination of Benazir Bhutto.

He was talking to journalists here on Sunday.
