QUETTA, March 15: Lawyers boycotted courts and took out a procession calling for reinstatement of deposed judges here as their black flag week concluded on Saturday.

The president of Balochistan Bar Association, Baz Muhammad Kakar, senior lawyers Khalid Khan Kakar, Mohsin Javed and others addressed the gathering.

They said that the lawyers would not compromise on the issue of the reinstatement of the deposed judges.

They welcomed a decision of the PPP and PML-N announced at their Murree meeting that they would pass a resolution from the National Assembly pertaining to the restoration of the judges.

The speakers expressed satisfaction over the successful nationwide observance of the black flag week on a call of the Supreme Court Bar Association. They said that the aim of the black flag week was to communicate to President Musharraf that lawyer community as well as the general public were behind the deposed judges.

They said that lawyers would continue their struggle till the restoration of the judges and the rule of law in the country.
