Britain to deport three Pakistanis

Published March 16, 2008

LONDON, March 15: As Britain launches a crackdown against illegal immigrants, three Pakistanis and a family are under detention, ready to be deported.

Officials said the three Pakistanis who would be deported were arrested on Tuesday when they were found working illegally as taxi drivers in Milton Keynes Council near London.

They were arrested following an intelligence tip off to officers of the Border and Immigration Agency. Officials said the arrested Pakistanis did not have permission to work in the UK. —Our Special Correspondent
