LAHORE, March 15: Capital City Police Officer (additional IG) Malik Muhammad Iqbal has warned that there is a complete ban on kite flying in the provincial capital and people violating the ban will be arrested immediately.
He said 76 teams had been constituted for the purpose under the supervision of respective station house officers, which would take immediate action against the people involved in kite flying and aerial firing.
LESCO’S APPEAL: Lahore Electric Supply Corporation (Lesco) has appealed to the citizens to stop their children from using chemical and glass-coated string during kite flying.
In a press release, a Lesco spokesman said tripping because of kite flying was disrupting power supply now-a-days. He also appealed to the City District Government of Lahore to take stern action against the violators. —Staff Reporter
