Pakistan win Sharjah Cup

SHARJAH, April 17: Pakistan clinched the Sharjah Cup in devastating fashion when they routed Sri Lanka by 217 runs in a one-sided final here Wednesday.

Sri Lanka were bundled out for just 78 in 16.5 overs with Wasim Akram, Waqar Younis and Shoaib Akhtar produced stunning spells of pace bowling to rip through their batting.

Pakistan scored 295 for six after winning the toss with Man-of-the-Match Yousuf Youhana stroking a career-best 129 in his 100th One-day International.
