Wasim stands out in KCCA event

KARACHI, March 13: Wasim Naeem struck an explosive 161 to help the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) record a massive 127-run win over Al-Hira Associates in the KCCA Inter-departmental cricket league here at the KCCA Stadium on Wednesday.

Batting first, the SBP amassed 284-8 in the allotted 45 overs with Wasim blasting 161 studded with 19 boundaries and four sixes. Maroof Aziz grabbed three wickets for 44.

In response, Al-Hira Associates could only reach 157 for 9 using the stipulated quota of overs with Wajidullah (51) as the top scorer.Wasim, apart from his fine batting, also bowled well to capture two wickets.
