ISLAMABAD, March 13: The Chinese embassy here on Thursday donated a stage subtitler, a 16mm film projector and 477 Chinese film archives to Ethnology Museum of Lok Virsa, symbolising the evergreen and lasting friendship between Pakistan and China.

The equipment was presented by Chinese Ambassador Lou Zhaohui and Cultural Councillor of Chinese embassy Shan Baoxiang to the Lok Virsa executive director, Uxi Mufti. Secretary, Ministry of Culture, Shahid Rafi, was also present on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chinese ambassador said: “The equipment that the Chinese embassy presented to Lok Virsa are a symbol of friendship in their long-enjoyed relations and it would surely open another window for the Pakistani people to understand the Chinese friends and culture in a better manner.”

Shahid Rafi highlighted the project of Pak-China Friendship Centre which is being established here on the premises of Lok Virsa and national monument with an aim to promote Chinese language and culture for enhancing bilateral ties.—APP
