LAHORE, April 16: An uninteresting card of six events awaits race-goers for the mid-week Lahore Gymkhana races to be held at the Racecourse Wednesday.
All events will be contested over the sprinting distance of six furlongs.
The fields for the events are made up of ordinary acceptors belonging to the lower divisions of class VII, from division IV & V down to division VIII B & C, which is at the bottom in handicap.
In the feature event, the Kohat Plate, class IV & V, has ten runners, if there are no last-minute withdrawals. Of them three look to be on chance. They are: chestnut gelding Aao Payar Se, bay Fair Boy and chestnut Prince Of Peace. They should fight it out to decide the winner.
Meanwhile the Lahore Race Club (LRC) authorities have warned all riders under suspension for violations, not to enter the club premises until three-fourth period of their punishment had passed and to pay their respective fines.
The horse-owners and trainers have been advised not to declare such riders because their declaration will not be accepted unless they cleared their fines.
