ISLAMABAD, March 2: President Pervez Musharraf and caretaker Prime Minister Mohammedmian Soomro have condemned the suicide attack on a jirga at Zargunkhel in Darra Adamkhel.

In separate messages, they expressed their deep sense of shock and grief over the loss of precious lives and injuries caused by the bombing.

President Musharraf termed the attack an attempt to sabotage the peace process, as the members of five clans of Darra Adamkhel had gathered to discuss restoration of peace in the area.

The president also reiterated the government’s resolve and commitment to continue the fight against terrorism and extremism.
