JACOBABAD, March 2: Members of the Education Cadres Promotion Committee, Jacobabad, took out a procession here on Sunday to protest against what they called illegal promotions of teachers.

The procession started from the committee office and after marching on main road of the city reached outside the press club. The participants raised slogans against the promotions. They also observed a token hunger strike.

Speaking on the occasion, committee chairman Haq Nawaz Noonari and secretary Asadullah Shah demanded of the EDO education to issue genuine seniority list and promote teachers on merit. They sought cancellation of illegal promotions as well.
