Three of a family die on road

HYDERABAD, Feb 29: Three members of a family died and another was injured in an accident on the National Highway in the jurisdiction of Bhittai Nagar police station on Friday.

Haji Mushtaq Memon, his wife Kulsoom and daughter Naveeda died when their van collided with a stationary truck, police said.

Their relative Aeysha and the driver of the truck, Irshad Tanoli suffered injuries.

Police said the van of Haji Mushtaq, a resident of Hussainabad, banged into the truck on the road. The bodies were taken to the Civil Hospital and handed over to relatives.

Meanwhile, 20 people were injured when a Sukkur-bound coach collided with a horse cart on the National Highway near Bhitshah due to over speeding.

The injured included Shabana, Kaima, Sanam, Rabia, Pyari, Kareema and others.
