CHARSADDA, Feb 29: The Tarnab police arrested an injured associate of Seyar alias Seyaray, an alleged criminal and mastermind of different suicide attacks on security forces and government installations, here on Friday.

DSP Ihsan Uddin told media people that Seyar and his other accomplice had been killed and two others arrested in an encounter with the Shabqadar police on Thursday night.

One of his associates, Mohammad Daud, who had fled after the encounter, was arrested in unconscious condition by police from nearby sugarcane fields. Important documents are said to have been recovered from him.

Police said the accused was an Afghan national and was wanted to police in different cases.

Meanwhile, the Charsadda Kisan Board set a three-day deadline to the administration of the Charsadda Sugar Mills for buying sugarcane from farmers.
