Three of family die on road

SAHIWAL, Feb 27: Three members of a family were killed and another two sustained injuries in an accident on Sahiwal-Pakpattan Road near the Sukh Bias River bridge on Wednesday.

Reports said Abid Murtaza, who came recently from the US, was returning to Faisalabad along with his family members by a car.

The speeding car was overtaking a trailer when it overturned while saving a pedestrian who was crossing the road. Consequently, Murtaza, his uncle Ghulam Mustafa and sister Abida (10) died on the spot while Samia and Sameena suffered injuries. They were admitted to a local hospital.
