THATTA, Feb 24: The Thatta Civil Society Alliance, which represents the city’s intelligentsia, has appealed to Pakistan People’s Party and the Shirazi group affiliated to Pakistan Muslim League-Q to bury the hatchet and help create congenial atmosphere in the district.

The alliance office-bearers have expressed grave concern over clashes between the party and the group, which posed a serious threat to peace in the district.

They urged leaders of the two sides to work jointly for people’s welfare.

They advised them to strive to create a congenial atmosphere for the general welfare and prosperity of the district and its people.

They said that now that the elections were over the winners and losers should put their rivalries behind them.
