MIRPURKHAS, Feb 23: Representa-tives of political and civil society activists have called upon the leaders of PPP, PML-N and ANP to form separate government in centre and provinces instead of entering into accord with pro-Musharraf political parties.

Talking to media here at the press club on Saturday, Asghar Ali Narejo, former leader of the SNF and office-bearer of a local NGO, civil society representatives’ including lawyer Kanji Ranomal Bheel, Babo Bheel, Aanand Ray and others said that masses have given mandate to PPP, PML-N and ANP in polls by rejecting the policies of the Pervez Musharraf government.

They said the people of the country wanted to see restoration of law and order, end to price hike, independent judiciary and media in the country.

They warned the leaderships of the PPP, PML-N and ANP that if they entered into accord with the previous coalition partners of President Pervez Musharraf, the country would suffer irreparable loss, as all the institutions would be destroyed due to their corrupt practices.

They demanded of the co-chairman of the PPP, Asif Ali Zardari, PML-N President Mian Nawaz Sharif to form the government jointly and restore independence of judiciary, media, release detained lawyers and judges and reinstate Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry as chief justice of Pakistan in the larger interest of democracy and the country.

QURESHIS HELD RESPONSIBLE: A member of the PML-Q Sindh council, Haji Mohammad Saleem, its Sindh labour wing vice-president Anwar Shah, youth wing’s district president Liaquat Ali Shah and other office-bearers Mirpurkhas have held responsible Senator Abdul Ghaffar Qureshi, the Sindh deputy general secretary of the PML-Q and his brother Saeed Qureshi for defeat of the party.
