NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, April 13: Naushahro Feroze District Nazim Masroor Jatoi will lead a caravan, with the Nazims and Naib Nazims of four talukas and 31 union councils out of 51 of the district, to Sukkur on April 18 to participate in the public meeting to be addressed by President Gen Pervez Musharraf.

This was said by the district Nazim in a press conference here on Friday after presiding over a meeting of the Nazims and Naib Nazims intending to join him in the caravan.

Replying to a question as to why the Nazims and Naib Nazims belonging to the PPP-backed Awam Dost Panel were not invited in the meeting, he said that it was not a regular district council meeting.

However, he said, he had called a meeting of all the Nazims and Naib Nazims of the district on April 14, wherein he would invite the ADP Nazims and Naib Nazims.

ARRESTED: The Sekhat police of Hyderabad district raided the house of Dilshad Rajput in Bhirya Town the other day to arrest him and arrested his 12-year old nephew, Sadiq Ali, as Dilshad was not present.

The police claimed that Dilshad was wanted by them for the robbery of a Blue Lines coach near Sekhat about one month ago.

HIJACKED: Four robbers hijacked a tractor of Ali Mohammad Chandio on Sadhoja-Phul link road the other day.
