LAYYAH, Feb 22: A man was killed while 16 others were injured when a pick-up van turned turtle near Kothi Qureshi on Multan Road, some five kilometres away from here on Friday.
Residents of Basti Shah Habib boarded on the pick-up were going to congratulate MNA-elect Muhammad Saqlain Shah Bukhari when their vehicle turned turtle while overtaking another vehicle, killing one Khadim Hussain on the spot and injuring 16 others.
Critically injured Kaleemullah, Hussain Waqar, Ghulam Abbas and Mehbob Elahi were taken to the district headquarters hospital.
