LAHORE, Feb 21: A 25-year-old youth committed suicide by taking poisonous pills over joblessness in Sanda on Thursday.
Reports said Iqbal had been jobless for quite a long time and his family used to taunt him. In dejection, he locked himself in a room and swallowed poison.
KILLED: A 35-year-old motorcyclist was killed while his uncle sustained injuries when a tractor-trolley ran them over near the Sultankay graveyard in the jurisdiction of Manga Mandi police on Thursday.
Ashraf of Chaidu village, Kahna, died instantly while his uncle, Aziz, sustained critical injuries. The driver managed to escape leaving his vehicle behind which the police later impounded.
Police have registered a case against the driver.
