HYDERABAD, Feb 21: The Hyderabad division chapter of the Sindh People’s Youth Organisation has called upon central executive committee of the PPP not to include the MQM in the upcoming government, either at the centre or in Sindh.

A resolution to this effect was adopted at a meeting of the PPP’s youth wing held here on Thursday and presided over by its Hyderabad division president Ahsan Abro.

The meeting recalled that Pakistan People’s Party activists had been subjected to atrocities by the Muttahida Qaumi Movement over the years, including the killing of many devoted party leaders and workers like including Abdullah Murad Baloch.

It alleged that even during the elections 2008, PPP activists were tortured and Farooq Sattar, Khush Bakht Shujaat, Haider Abbas Rizvi and four Sindh Assembly candidates of the MQM had won the elections through rigging.

The meeting noted that the PPP had emerged victorious due to the unforgettable sacrifices of party chairperson Benazir Bhutto.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Abro said that people had avenged the assassination of Ms Bhutto through ballot and expressed the hope that the expected PPP-led government would come up to the expectations of the voters.

STP: Sindh Taraqqi Pasand Party chairman Dr Nadir Magsi has said that the people have rejected the policies of President Perez Musharraf and his allies in the elections and therefore he has no moral right to remain in power.
