KOHAT, Feb 13: Unknown assailants attacked the family of an official of Orakzai Agency near Kaghazai in Kohat district killing his son and injuring the other and his wife on Hangu road late Tuesday night.

Mohammad Iqbal, a tehsildar at the agency's headquarters, was on his way home alongwith his family in Kaghazai area when three armed men opened fire on their car.

As a result his son Qaisar Iqbal died on the spot while his other son Zahid Iqbal and wife sustained bullet injuries and were admitted to the KDA Medical Complex.

Later, protesters blocked the Kohat-Hangu road by putting trees on fire on the highway and demanded arrest of the killers. However, the family did not name anybody in the report registered at the Cantt police station.
