LARKANA, Feb 12: Former leader of opposition in Sindh Assembly Nisar Ahmed Khuhro on Tuesday criticised former chief ministers of Sindh Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim and Liaquat Jatoi and accused them of trying to create rifts in Pakistan People’s Party.

Mr Khuhro, who is PPP candidate for PS-36, said at a corner meeting organised by PPP’s women wing near Al-Murtaza House that their designs were shattered by people’s unconditional support for the party and its leadership.

He said that people stood like an insurmountable wall in her front and even after getting riddled with bullets they did not budge from their support for Ms Bhutto.

Shahid Bhutto, PPP’s candidate for NA-204, and Tauqeer Fatima Bhutto, divisional president of PPP’s women wing, said: “We were proud of Ms Bhutto for her courage and commitment for the democratic rule in the country.”

They said that “Roti, Kapra aur Makan” was Shaheed Z.A. Bhutto’s slogan, which was carried forward by Ms Benazir Bhutto and the party was fully committed to it.

They alleged that the PML-Q and Pervez Musharraf conspired to kill her when they saw she had a bold agenda for change. Now her bitter opponents were shedding crocodile tears, they said.
