Teachers want salaries

SUKKUR, April 11: Junior school teachers of Jacobabad district have not been paid their salaries for the last five months, their representatives have complained.

Talking to Dawn here on Thursday, they said their families were facing starvation due to the financial crisis arising out of the non-payment of the salaries.

They appealed Sindh education minister and secretary to pay their salaries immediately.

The teachers were appointed after they qualified the recruitment examination conducted by the Sindh Public Service Commission, they said.

DIE OF DOG-BITE: Two persons including a woman died of mad dog-bite near Daharki on Thursday.

Reports reaching here said Khair Mohammad and his sister-in-law, Mitthal, were working on their agricultural land in Deh Sanilo near Daharki when the dog bit them.
