SUKKUR, Feb 9: A man killed his teenaged fiancée on the pretext of kari in Jawariyo village 10 kilometers from Thull on Saturday hours after she was released by her captors after eight days in illegal confinement.

Fakir Mohammad Marhato gunned down 18-year-old Ms Moomal Khatoon, daughter of Murad Ali Marhato, hours after her release and fled. Murad said he had registered a case at the police station of the area against Fakir Mohammad Marhato, Mir Hassan Buriro and Barkat Buriro.

He told police that the accused Mir Hassan Buriro and Barkat Buriro had kidnapped his daughter at gunpoint, kept her in illegal confinement and raped her. He had lodged a formal report about eight days ago about kidnapping but police did nothing.

He said that on that day the accused released his daughter in front of the house early in the morning only to be killed hours later by her fiancé Fakir Mohammad Marhato.
