Health dept record gutted

KASUR, April 10: The documents in the EDO (health) office were reduced to ashes late Tuesday.

Important record of the last 50 years of the department was dumped in the room. The documents included inquiries against a number of health officials involved in corruption of millions of rupees, it is learnt.

EDO (health) Dr Zulfiqar Ali appointed Fayyaz Sarwar an inquiry officer in the case.

INJURED: Three people sustained grievous injuries on Wednesday when a gas cylinder burst at an ice factory in Khudian.

The ammonium cylinder burst in Haji Ghulam Rasool’s factory on the Circular Road at around 4pm. Three people, including Muhammad Abbas and Munawar Ali, sustained injuries.

They were taken to the Lahore Hospital in precarious condition.
