LANDI KOTAL, Feb 6: An Afghan refugee was killed and two others were injured in an explosion in a roadside scrap shop in Khyber Agency’s Jamrud tehsil on Wednesday, officials said.

The accidental explosion in the Shah Kas area killed shop owner Baz Mohammad and injured his workers Arab Khan and Gujar Khan, who also belonged to Afghanistan.

Meanwhile, driver Khayal Mohammad died when his pickup skidded off a road near Enzari Kandao in the Landi Kotal tehsil on Wednesday.

Local officials said the vehicle was loaded with petrol cans, which were to be smuggled to Afghanistan through unfrequented routes via Loe Shalman.
