Sharaqpuri’s nephew to back PML-N

SHEIKHUPURA, Feb 1: Mian Walid Ahmed Sharaqpuri, an independent candidate for PPP-165, on Friday announced his withdrawal from the electoral contest.

Mian Walid, the nephew of Mian Jalil Ahmed Sharaqpuri, District Nazim, also announced his support for PML-N candidates for NA-132 and PP-165.

His uncle (Mian Jalil Ahmed Sharaqpuri) had contested the 2002 election as a PML-N candidate but joined the ruling party (PML-Q) later to become the district nazim.
