KARACHI, Jan 30: A nine-member Pakistan badminton men’s team will leave for Tehran on January 31 from Lahore to participate in Fajr International Series badminton tournament to be held from Feb 2-5.

Zeeshan Umer, Wajid Ali, Ahsan Qamar, Muhammad Waqas Ahmed, Rizwan Azam, Mohammad Attique and Hashir Basheer will contest in the tournament while Mohammad Nasim Khan will serve as the manger of the team.

Rizwan Azam and Mohammad Attique are seeded No. 2 in men’s doubles. Rizwaz-Attique duo has achieved 82nd spot on world circuit.

The team will return on Feb 7 from Tehran and will then proceed to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, to participate in Thomas Cup Asia Zone matches to be played from February 19-24.—PPI
