SHEIKHUPURA, Jan 29: Three members of a family were gunned down over an old enmity here on Monday night at Khanianwali village in Sharaqpur police precincts.

Reports said Mansha, his two grandsons Ahmed Ali and Sher Ali were asleep at their outhouse when a dozen assailants came there after scaling the boundary wall and opened fire on them, killing them on the spot.

Mansha was the elder brother of police inspector Nair Opal posted in Lahore.

One year ago, another brother of the police inspector was shot dead by the same assailants. Mansha was pursuing litigation and the accused wanted reconciliation.

Sharaqpur police have registered a case.
