Man kills Pregnant wife, son

SANGHAR, Jan 29: A man shot dead his pregnant wife and infant son in Chhachhar Zardari village near Shahdadpur on Monday.

The accused, Ayoub Zardari, surrendered before the Lundo police after committing the crime.

Liaquat Zardari, the brother of slain woman, Husna, stated in the FIR that Ayoub wanted to sell five acres of agricultural land but his wife was opposing the sale.

On Monday night, Liaquat stated, while she was asleep with her infant son Saifal, her husband opened fire on them, killing both on the spot.

The bodies were shifted to the Shahdadpur taluka hospital for post- mortem. Dr Nasreen Khadim told journalists that the deceased were fired upon from point blank range.

The police have recovered a shotgun and two empty cartridges used in the double murder.

When journalists met accused in lock-up, he had no remorse and said that he had done nothing wrong.

According to Liaquat, Husna was second wife of the accused. His first wife had died few years ago.
