PESHAWAR, Jan 29: The National Education Council (NEC) has decided to raise the issue of bringing the private educational institutions under district governments at the inter-provincial educational conference to be held in Karachi next month.

The NEC, a representative body of the private institutions, in press release issued here on Tuesday said that it was against the government’s proposed decision to place the private institutions under the district governments.

The council will also express its point of view on the new education scheme and national curriculum in the meeting, the press release said.

The NEC will present a charter of demand to Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibaad and also give a copy of the same to the provincial education ministers, it added.
