TIMERGARA, Jan 26: Two police constables and a Frontier Constabulary man were killed early on Saturday when a security post came under rocket attack.

According to the police, the post had been set up in a tent near the Afghan refugee camp at Ashary Gut, 13kms north of Timergara.

Sources said that there were nine officials at the post, including four FC officials, when it was attacked at 2.45am.

The three security officials were killed when the assailants resorted to indiscriminate fire after the rocket attack.

The dead were identified as constables Majid Khan, Syedul Abrar and Bakht Zada. The injured man was rushed to a hospital in Timergara.

Security agencies cordoned off the area and carried out a search operation. No one was arrested.

The post had been set up after several bomb blasts in the region last year.
