KARACHI, Jan 24: The annual Habib Public School (HPS) Inter-school sports festival for boys begins at their multi-purpose indoor gymnasium on Feb 8, director sports of the institution, Shabih Abbas, said on Thursday.

To be held for the second year running, the festival envisages four disciplines – basketball, gymnastics, table tennis and volleyball. This time gymnastics has been included at the expense of badminton.

The official said gymnastics and table tennis will be completed before the country’s general elections while the other two events take place immediately after the polls.

The most significant thing that makes the festival tall is that no entry fee is charged from any competing team. The events will be staged under international rules.

Last date for submission of entries is Feb 5 which can be submitted to the sports official of the school.
