KARACHI, Jan 23: Test cricketer Mohammad Sami’s brilliant unbeaten century and Shahpur Agha’s fine bowling steered Mohammad Hussain Cricket Club to the KCCA Senior League semi-finals, as they sealed a seven-wicket win over Korangi Friends Cricket Club at the KCCA Stadium on Tuesday.
Mohammad Hussain CC, by winning the match, also extended their winning streak to seven in Group ‘B’ games.
Batting first, Korangi Friends CC posted a meagre 147 in 44.3 overs with Shahpur Agha claiming 4-47. In response, Mohammad Hussain CC, due to Sami’s swashbuckling 106 studded with 14 fours and three sixes, reached the target while losing three wickets, off only 20 overs.
Meanwhile, in another match Khizra Sports outplayed Late Ismail Jaffer Cricket Club by 119 runs due to the all-round performance of Mansoor Khan who made 66 besides taking three wickets for 11.
