ISLAMABAD, Jan 22: Pakistan held the Netherlands 1-1 in a match of the eight-nation Men’s Junior hockey tournament at the National Hockey Stadium in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on Monday.

The first half was goalless. It was in the second half that the Dutch forged ahead through a 45th minute field goal.

Pakistan fought back to level the score two minutes later through captain Shafqat Rasool.

So far, Pakistan have won one match, drawn two and lost one. They have accumulated five points and kept alive a remote chance to advance to semi-finals.
