Postings at regional tax office

ISLAMABAD, Jan 22: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has appointed senior tax officers of sales tax and federal excise group for postings at Regional Tax Office, Karachi.

A notification SRO66 of 2008 issued here on Tuesday said the newly-appointed director general, collectors, additional collectors, cost accountants, deputy collectors, assistant collectors, superintendents, senior auditors, deputy superintendents, auditors and inspectors will perform their duties under the Sales Tax Act and Federal Excise Act at the RTO, Karachi.

The RTO jurisdiction falling within the former civil division of Karachi of province of Sindh excluding the persons registered with Large Taxpayer’s Unit.

The establishment of the regional tax office was part of the over all re-structuring of the tax administration.
