Wasim shines in Zahoor GBSS win

KARACHI, Jan 17: Wasim Tahir missed a century by mere five runs but his knock helped Zahoor GBSS to an 87-run victory over APWA GBSS in a second-stage match of the PCB National School Championship (Karachi Region) at the board’s academy ground on Wednesday.

Wasim hit 12 boundaries and a six his in his 95 as Zahoor GBSS scored posted 216 before being dismissed in 40 overs. APWA GBSS, in reply, were bowled out for 129 in 30.3 overs.

Meanwhile, Royal Academy inflicted a five-wicket defeat on St. Paul’s School at the PCB Academy Ground. Faraz Ahmed and Hasnain Raza picked three wickets apiece for the victors.
