MULTAN, Jan 17: The District Bar Association demanded on Thursday that Pakistan Bar Council officials resign from their posts for “damaging the lawyers’ movement”.

After a protest meeting demanding the restoration of deposed judges, lawyers held a rally from the courts to Chowk Kutchehry amid chants against the government and in the favour of restoration of deposed judges.

GUJRANWALA: Lawyers boycotted court proceedings and took out a protest rally against the government for removing judges. Due to rain, lawyers had umbrellas. Speakers vowed that their movement would continue till the restoration of deposed judges and release of Supreme Court Bar Association President Aitzaz Ahsan and his other colleagues. They said that lawyers would boycott courts from 1pm to 3pm every day and a full-day boycott on every Thursday.
