Coaching courses held

LAHORE, Jan 14: Two more elementary coaching courses for school teachers under the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) programme were held in Karachi and Lahore.

The PCB has to organise 15 such courses under the programme in 2007-08.

A PCB spokesman said that as per the programme, PCB is not only educating elite coaches but also working to promote the game at grass roots level by imparting coaching skills to school teachers.

He said in Karachi, 60 school teachers, who were invited from their respective regions, had participated in the three-day programmes in each city.

These participants were taught about basics of batting, bowling, fielding, wicket-keeping and laws of the game during the course.

Shahid Aslam, Manager, coaching education was the main course presenter at the NCA, Lahore while Jalaluddin conducted the course at NSK, Karachi.
