Muharram security

BAHAWALPUR, Jan 14: Army will be deployed in the districts of Bahawalpur and Rahim Yar Khan for Muharram security.

This was stated by Regional Police Officer Ghulam Haider Marth here on Monday. Talking to Dawn here on Monday, the RPO said that two companies of army would be deployed in Bahawalpur while three companies in addition to a company of rangers in RY Khan. Besides, he said two companies of rangers would be posted in each of the districts of Bahawalpur and Bahawalnagar.

Meanwhile, personnel of desert rangers were deployed at all 35 flour mills in the city on Monday.
