Three killed

RAWALPINDI, April 4: Three persons were killed in separate incidents in Rawalpindi and Islamabad, police and hospital authorities said on Thursday.

In the first incident two young men; Mushtaq Ahmed and Ferzand Ali were run over by a speeding wagon in Rawat while crossing the road. The wagon (RPT-6570) was coming from Rawalpindi and killed the two boys on the spot, the police said.

In another incident, an employ of the Capital Development Authority was killed after being run over by a speeding truck on Kashmir highway Islamabad on Thursday, police said.

Maqboolur Rehman, a photographer in CDA, was crossing the road when a truck knocked him down. The truck driver along with the vehicle escaped from the scene.

Sajida Bibi attempted suicide by shooting herself in her house in RA Bazaar on Wednesday night, police said.
