KHYBER AGENCY, April 4: Political authorities in Bara arrested four kidnappers during a joint operation initiated against the outlaws in the Khyber Agency.

The Acting Political Agent of the Khyber Agency, Syed Jamaluddin, in collaboration with Mehsud Scouts, had launched a clean-up operation against proclaimed offenders in the Bara tehsil of the tribal agency a week ago.

On Thursday, the raiding party, headed by Political Tehsildar Iftikhar Khan and Capt Fayaz Khalil, raided a house in Shunko area. Two outlaws, Zeb Khan and Niaz Mohammad, possessing hand grenades tried to resist, but the personnel overpowered them.

In another operation, two other kidnappers, Sakhi Jan and Khan Mir, were arrested from Sanzal Khel village. All the arrested outlaws were later shifted to Political Agent’s house in Peshawar where they will be handed over to CIA police.

All the detainees were wanted by the Peshawar police in a number of abduction cases.
