LAHORE, Jan 6: The Pakistan People’s Party will not be suppressed by violence, Secretary-General Jehangir Badr said here on Sunday.

Speaking at a party meeting on Shish Mahal Road to pay homage to former PPP Chairwoman Benazir Bhutto, Badr said the entire world had condemned her assassination and the entire nation was mourning her. He said Ms Bhutto’s commitment to democracy proved that she was the true heir to her father Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.

Badr said Ms Bhutto had promised to be chief guest at the launch of his book on her life on Dec 30. The book could not be launched due to her assassination.
