KARACHI, Jan 5: Mr Najeeb Ahmed and Mr Imtiaz Khan Faran were elected president and secretary of the Karachi Press Club, respectively, for the year 2008. Mr Najeeb got 440 votes while Mr Faran bagged 452 votes in the elections held on Saturday.

Mr Saeed Sarbazi was elected vice-president, Mr Aamir Latif treasurer and Mr Mohammad Anwar Khan joint secretary.

According to unofficial results, Bilqees Jahan, Javed Jiaja, Khursheed Abbasi, Muhammad bin Yousif, Shaikh Mehmood Mian, Asif Ali Kazi and Shams Keerio were elected members of the governing body.—Reporter
