LARKANA, Jan 5: The leaders and activists of the Pakistan People’s Party across the province observed the 80th birthday anniversary of PPP’s founder Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, falling within days of the assassination of his daughter and party chairperson Benazir Bhutto, on Saturday with utmost simplicity.

Party activists held Quran Khwani and distributed food among the poor at the Z.A. Bhutto’s mausoleum in Garhi Khuda Bux while a separate gathering marking the day was held at Al-Murtaza House.

The supporters of the PPP leader in Hyderabad, Dadu, Khairpur and several other parts of the province kept the birthday ceremonies simple and did not cut any cake.
