Published January 4, 2008

QUETTA, Jan 3: The Govern-ment Teachers Association, Balochistan, on Thursday asked its members to attend the training sessions being organised by the Election Commission for the coming general elections.

Addressing a news conference, association’s president Haji Abdul Ghaffar Gadazai said that the government had accepted some of their demands and, therefore, the association had called off its boycott of the training sessions.

However, he said, if the government failed to fulfil its commitment regarding acceptance of the remaining demands till Feb 12, the teachers would resume their boycott.
