TAXILA, Jan 2: One person was killed while five others including a woman were injured in two different road accidents in jurisdiction of Taxila and Wah Cantt Police Station.

Yaqoob was killed and three others injured when a speeding dumper (PKR 173) hit a motorcycle rickshaw from its rear on GT road near Jameelabad in jurisdiction of Taxila Police station. Asifa Bibi, wife of Yaqoob, Azeem Khan and driver of the rickshaw Safeer Ahmed were injured in the accident.

A stationary trailer of National Logistics Cell (NLC) in the middle of road led to collision of van and bus critically injuring two passengers of the van.

Police sources said that driver of Rawalpindi bound passenger van (LWK2174) coming from Peshawar applied emergency break as due to fog he could not see the NLC trailer parked in the middle of the road.
