PESHAWAR, Jan 2: The government has reshuffled officials working on key positions in the Civil Secretariat and the tribal region of South Waziristan here on Wednesday.

A notification issued by the NWFP Establishment and Administration Department (E&AD), Ghulam Qadir Khan (DMG BS-19), reforms coordinator of the Finance Department, has been transferred and posted as secretary (law and order) in the Civil Secretariat (Fata) in the same pay-scale, relieving Shakeel Qadir from his additional charge.

According to sources, the post of Secretary (Law and Order) Civil Secretariat (Fata) had fallen vacant when Arbab Mohammad Arif, a grade BPS-20 DMG officer had gone on long leave on Dec 12, 2007 after allegedly developing differences with the governor.

Since then, Shakeel Qadir had been performing the duties of Secretary (Law and Order).

The government has also replaced Hussain Zada Khan (PCS EG BPS-20), the Political Agent of South Waziristan tribal region by posting Fazli Rabbi (PCS EG BS-19). Mr Khan has been directed to report E&AD. Sources said Hussain Zada Khan had also applied for a long leave on Dec 11.

Similarly, Mohammad Humayun (DMG BS-20), awaiting posting in E&AD, was posted as director-general-cum-secretary of the Provincial Earthquake Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Authority (Perra).
