KOHAT, Jan 1: A facility of a cellular company was damaged in a blast on the New Year night in Mohammadzai village on Monday.

Cantonment police said that some unidentified militants had planted a bomb on the boundary wall of a tower of famous cellular company around 1am. The device went off with a big bang, causing some damage to the facility.

Girl killed: A 16-year-old girl was killed and four others were seriously injured when a truck overturned and fell on the victims in new fruit market on Tuesday.

Rabia was killed on the spot while four other people were pulled out by people and police from under the truck. The condition of one of the injured, Mohammad Din, was stated to be very serious.

The injured were admitted to the KDA divisional medical complex.

The driver of the truck escaped from the scene. The truck overturned at the entrance of the market which is 10 meters below the ground level and without a proper road.

Police have registered a case and are investigating.
